Screening & Testing

If you are worried you have COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19,
get in contact with a health care provider via phone or virtual visit. Here’s how.

What Do I Do
If I Feel Sick?

Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough or difficulty breathing. If you are experiencing these symptoms, contact your primary care physician. To prevent exposing health care providers and others to coronavirus, please call ahead before going in person to see a healthcare provider.

To see a Jupiter Medical Center Urgent Care provider from the comfort of home, use Care Anywhere to schedule a virtual visit.

Start Your
Virtual Visit

As an alternative to in-person
screenings, we are offering virtual
telehealth screenings to the community
via Care Anywhere. Should the need arise,
your family, friends and neighbors can
engage a JMC provider for a virtual
consultation – all from the comfort of
your home using a smartphone or
mobile device.

Care Anywhere is available
Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Coronavirus Test:
What You Need
To Know

The Jupiter Medical Center
is not a test site for
COVID-19 testing. This is
in accordance with Florida
Department of Health
guidelines, which advise
that hospitals should be
used for critical conditions
and emergencies.
If you are sick and think
you need to be tested,
start by calling your
primary care physician.
Doctors’ offices can take
swabs for testing and
send them to the
appropriate lab to be
analyzed.
866-779-6121
You can also call the Florida Department of Health
COVID-19 hotline, which can conduct a screening
over the phone and direct you to a test site.

Who Should
Be Tested for
COVID-19?

Your doctor can determine if you have signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and whether you should be tested, or if you may have been exposed to coronavirus and should be tested.

Jupiter Medical Center is working with public health partners at the federal, state and local level to provide you with the latest information about COVID-19 testing availability, which continues to evolve. If you have signs and symptoms of COVID-19, whether or not you are tested, it is prudent to distance yourself from others to avoid spreading the virus.

How Can I
Self-Isolate
In My Home?

If you test positive for coronavirus or you are sick with symptoms that you suspect could be coronavirus, take steps to self-isolate in your home.

According to CDC recommendations, household members should, as much as possible, separate from other people and pets.

Use a different bedroom and bathroom if available. Shared spaces should have good airflow, such as with an opened window. Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth. If you must be around other people, wear a facemask or cloth face covering over your nose and mouth.

Clean all high-touch surfaces everyday. Caregivers should clean your bedroom and bathroom, except on an as-needed basis. Caregiver should wear a mask and wait as long as possible after the sick person has used the bathroom.
